Last day in Camelot

On Sunday we ate breakfast again. This was a full Irish breakfast. We ate eggs, bacon tomatoes and scones. This was very strange because breakfast in Argentina is not like this. We ate in the same room that we had the Banquet last night.

After Breakfast we all did a Photo scavanger hunt. This was a lot of fun. We had a list of sentences describing what we had to do in the photos. Some of them were very funny.

We had to make a human pyramid with our group, all jump off the ground at once, hold up a camp councellor, hide all parts ofour bodies except our heads, spell out the word "Knight" with our bodies an much more.

It was a really nice day so it was nice to be outside!

We had to pack up our back before 3 o´clock to catch the bus home. It was sad to say goodbye

Saturday at Camelot

On Saturday at breakfast we could drink coffee, milk and chocolate. We also ate toast and pancakes with syrup. After Breakfast we played more games.

After this we started to prepare for the dramas. To practice for this we learned a new game called the Banana game.

I learnt a new game called "the banana game". Some people represent a normal situation. The participants have to guess what is happening. The actors can only use the word "Banana" to convey the story. Today I say two situations. The first was with two students. One was a policman and the other was a person driving too fast. The policman stopped the man and asked him for his driver's licence. The person gave him false information so the policeman checked his pockets. He found drugs so he arrested the man. In the other game the two boys were playing music. The neighbour shouted at them to stop but the boys said they were doing nothing wrong. He got angry and threw their guitars away. It is a very funny game.

In the camp we also played a game called "Sardines". The rules of the game are: One person must go and hide. While the person hides, the other must look at the wall. 3 minutes later, the people who were looking at the wall can go out and start looking for the person hiding. When someone finds the person hiding, they must go and hide with them and stay quiet. You must wait until everyone has found the hiding place . We his on the beach. I liked this game because it was funny.

Later on we prepared for our Banquet dinner for the theme of Camelot.

Scenary of Camelot: First of all I want to mention the large space we had at the camp. It is huge. there are big fields, the cabins are nice and really comfortable and there was also a small beach. We have a beautiful view of a river where lots of boats pass through. Another thing is the restaurant. The food here was very tasty. All the buildings have heaters and the temperature in winter is wonderful. There are great decorations with colourful curtains, lights everywhere, candles at the dinner tables and there were lots of medieval decorations arounds the room where we had the banquet. It was perfect for that night.

After the dinner each of the groups performed their drama which was rehearsed earlier in the day. This was fun to do and also very funny to watch the others.

Camelot

On friday 6th we travelled to Rio Quequen for an english immersion camp.

We arrived at 12 o'clock and the consellors told us where our cabins were. A few minutes later they checked our bags to see if we had anything in spanish , the children who had things in other languages couldn't get in to camp with that stuff. Later we had lunch , it was a traditional irish meal, it was meat, carrots and potatoes with some rice. Otherwise known as "stew".

In the afternoon we did a lot of different games, called "Splat", Capture the flag, "british bull dogs ", dragon race and our favorite, kickball.

Then we went inside to make helmets with paper and balloons. After that we drew our groups crests with coloured paper that the groups had, my team was red and black.

Later in the evening we talked a lot with the consellors about where they come from , what they like and why they came to Argentina.

At night we went to the restaurant to have dinner. We had shepherds pie, which contained meat and potatoes with cheese. After lunch we went to the campfire to toast marshmallos.

We sang some songs and did some dances. Then my friends and I played "Truco" and showed the consellors. They found it difficult to remember the rules. after this we went to bed.
